LPN Certificate Program

Practical nurses are important members of the healthcare team and can be found anywhere healthcare is delivered - in hospitals, nursing homes and other exciting settings.

Unlike other LPN programs, students at Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing receive college credit for their courses. Graduates are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Exam for an LPN. Upon completion of the LPN program and required prerequisite courses, students are eligible for application for advanced placement in the RN program.

To enable LPNs to advance into an RN program without unnecessary gaps or duplication of LPN course material, Memorial Hospital School of Nursing offers the newly created New York State Practical Nurse (PN) to Registered Nurse (RN) Transition Course.
