In the next 60 seconds, someone in the United States will suffer a stroke and heart disease will claim another life. According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is this nation's leading cause of death. Each year about 700,000 people will suffer a stroke making it the third leading cause of death and the leading cause of serious disability.

Recognizing the tremendous impact of heart disease and stroke, Northeast Health has created comprehensive programs focusing on education, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.
