Medical oncology/hematology

Chemotherapy, the use of drugs to treat cancer, is provided by Michael S. Conjalka, MD, MPH, board certified in medical oncology/hematology, Sergio Biguzzi, MD, board certified in medical oncology/hematology, and a staff of compassionate and skilled oncology nurses. Research protocols are available.

Radiation oncology

Radiation therapy uses high energy particles or waves, such as x-rays or electrons, to destroy or damage cancer cells. Radiation oncologist Sarada Reddy, MD, utilizes the latest breatkthrough technologies, including IMRT and PET/CT scans, digital mammography, mammotone, breast MRI and stereotactic biopsy, HDR brachytherapy for multiple cancer sites, and most recently, image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT).

You can have your physician refer you, or you can call yourself at (518) 271-3775. We'll schedule an initial appointment for you as soon as possible. For your ease and convenience, we have our own phlebotomist to draw your blood, even if the test is ordered by a physician outside the center.

Centrally Located

The center is located at Samaritan Hospital at the corner of Burdett and Peoples Avenues in Troy, just minutes from the Collar City Bridge and major arterials (I-787, I-90 and I-87.) Take Hoosick Street east to Burdett (5th light.) Turn right onto Burdett and proceed to Peoples Avenue. Turn right onto Peoples Avenue. Please park in the Peoples Avenue parking lot (oncology and outpatient services) on the southwest side of the hospital.
